Be careful what you leave behind: Portriats generated from people’s hair, saliva, and skin cells

Heather Dewey-Hagborg, hasn’t met you, but she knows what you look like (if you’ve left hair, saliva or skin cells behind). Her project, creating DNA portraits, relied on TED Fellow Oliver Medvedik’s Genspace, a DIY bio-lab in Brooklyn, NY, to sequence DNA and fed that data into a facial generating software.
